Interestingly weather really does influence our day, and climate certainly influences our decision about where to live. Thus, weather and climate are very important for our understanding of place and why people might want to live in a certain place. More importantly, knowing how to interpret the weather might actually save our lives, or at least help us decide what to pack and wear. Read: pp. 48-58 of World Geography Littell.
